By admin

2 NADCAs Safety in the Die Casting Workplace Hazard CommunicationIncident rates in the die casting workplace average two times the rates of all other private industries. This is an astounding number.
NADCA produced this safety video to assist the die caster in learning to recognize the
hazards in the die casting environment. This video demonstrates how to work in a safe manner to reduce potential injury to themselves and their co-workers.
This video covers lock-out/tag-out of equipment, personal protective equipment, metal
melting and handling, die casting machine guarding, hazardous communication, and housekeeping. All of these topics are essential for the die caster to know in order to
work safely and to maintain a safe work environment.

This video was made possible through funding from the H.L. Red Harvill Foundation. The Harvill
Foundation was established to provide support for continuing education opportunities in the die
casting industry.
